Sustainable and Responsible

Ayra is a fully aeroponic, 100% LED, producer processor centrally located in the heart of Seattle, chosen to be as close as possible to our retail partners to minimize our carbon footprint. We strive to be the most sustainable facility in the industry in terms of energy use, water consumption, efficiency, and minimal waste.
Ayra (pronounced AIR-aah, as in aeroponic) has origins in an Arabic name meaning responsible.

Aeroponics = Consistent
High Quality

We use aeroponics to mist the roots of our plants with a richly oxygenated nutrient mix, using just 10% of the water of a traditional grow. Since we don’t use soil we can easily maintain the ideal growing environment for consistent high quality, harvest after harvest. No pesticides, contaminants, or bad stuff, ever.

By constantly monitoring the macro and micro nutrients of our plants, we make sure they get just the right mix to make them thrive. We expect our facility to yield 130 times more productivity per square foot than a traditional outdoor grow.

All our plants are grown in the purest growing media of all -- air. This means they are not competing for nutrients, there is no risk of contamination, and that we can easily maintain an ideal growing environment.

Our plant scientists constantly review, test, and optimize our growing system using predictive analytics to create a consistently high quality product. We also use monitoring and advanced controls to take away many of the risks of traditional growing.

Always Pesticide Free

We’ve designed our cultivation facility from the ground up to never require pesticides, insecticides, herbicides, or fungicides. The only thing that touches our plants are dissolved minerals and they only touch the roots. We prevent pest contamination by controlling every aspect of our grow environment -- the lighting, temperature, humidity, and CO2, resulting in a much lower risk of outside contamination. Also, our growing methods disrupt the normal life cycle of indoor pests so they can never get established.
